I've done real good at the local car repair shops. Especially if I throw business their way. Rotate shops. Oil changes, brakes etc.

I've tried using a heat gun aimed at my 450, not sure if it did any good as I use LBT soft blue.

There is nothing wrong with your mold. My 2 cavity Lyman 429421 drop boolits at around 250. It all depends on what the percentages of lead, tin and antimony are in your casting pot.

I asked the same question
Check the answers I received on 1-22-2010 for "Weighing Cast Boolits"

I agree with mpmarty. I have a Lee 2 hole 358-105swc. and this past summer I sat in the garage and casted over 600 in 2 days.

Sound like I've been wasting my time. I only cast for 9mm, .357, .44mag and 45acp.
I guess if I have nothing to do, I may weigh them.
Forum: Cast Boolits
Does anybody sort by weight their boolits before sizing & lube? If so do you shoot all the same weight or combine several of the weights either side of your base weight boolit?

I use a Lyman 358477 in my Model 27. Lyman's 358429 using .357 brass and crimped on the crimp grove is too long for the cylinder of a Model 27. Best to check that your Model 686 doesn't have a short...

I emptied the lube out of my Lyman 450 earlier this year, and just boiled water and the poured the water into the reservoir. This way I didn't have to worry about melting o-rings or paint.
I was recently given 1000 92gr 380 bullets sold by Dillon that are made by S&S Castings. S&S Castings sells them too. Haven't loaded them yet, but I will for my Bersa. Other than that, I've loaded...

I received a Lee PRO 4-20 bottom pour from Midsouth for $63.00 a couple of weeks ago. This is a 20lb pot that I use for 2-cavity molds. I use to use a 10lb with a RCBS ladle and it was slow. This...

Thanks, I'll try the 3-1 mix this weekend

I thinking on mixing 3 parts lead to 1 part lino for use in my 45acp lyman 452460 only. Paper target shooting. This would be stick on WW and pure lead. I'm keeping the clip on WW for use in my 9mm,...

Wally, I use 231 in my 9mm and 231 or Unique in the .357. The .357 loads are just for plinking nothing hot. My lead goes a long way with this boolit
Forum: Cast Boolits
I've been using Lee's 358-105swc sized to .357 for my 9mm and sized to .358 for my 357 mag loads

Got an e-mail from Natchez on Thursday night stating that my request for WLP primers that I placed in June are now available. Ordered my limit and they shipped Friday. I will finally be able to...

Now I see the stabilizer.
I'm a O-2 man myself.

Bret4207: Yea it looks like a Phantom II. I also looks like it's missing its horizontal stabilizer

I just finished some more testing.
This time I loaded an unsized .3605 into a 9mm case and a unsized .3605 into a 357mag case, put each one into their respective 9mm and .357 FCD and then pulled...

These were all air cooled and dropped from the mold at .3605. The next time I pour 44's and 45's I'll report on them too. As I have Lee FCD for these as well.
Forum: Cast Boolits
I read how the Lee FCD can resize a cast boolit. So I cast some Lee 358-105 swc for my Colt Commander in 9 mm using 5 part ww to 2 parts lino. Sized 1 to .357 and 1 to .358 seated them to a depth of...

Snaggdit I think you hit it right. I was at 2 Gander Mountains and 1 Bass Pro Shops here in IL and no 380's. I haven't gone to the Bass Pro Shop across the boarder in IN yet. Wis and IL are the only...

Not only looking at the car tires in parking lot, you also start look at the ground to see if any weight fell off of tires.
Any way here's the link to the past question asked, I refer to it...

I'll agree with Keebo52 it took about the same time from my mail order from IL to get to AK and then get the Bullplate from AK to IL
