What diameter are you turning your case necks to, also have you done a chamber cast to make sure that it is a .310 neck? You need to have 1.5 to 2 thousand clearance for the bullet to release properly

That’s good accuracy for that kind of speed. Bore ride style bullets such as the Mihec Bullet in my experience starts to loose accuracy big time when you go past 2000 fps. That bullet between 1800 up...

The 35 Remington with the RCBS 200-FN is a very accurate combo

Yes, the gator gas checks work well with the Noe mold.Noe sells sizing dies and punches to size that bullet

Give them a call and tell them you need them for 50 BMG. As for the punch I thought you was referring to the top punch that pushes the bullet into the sizer die
Forum: Cast Boolits
Do a web search for Gator gas checks, as for a top punch you can use a flat nose solid top punch

A good way to sort is to sort and keep what’s within 1%.

Are you sure it’s not the 429650 av? Which is a 300 grain semi wad cutter

Most people hear about heavy bullets in 357 magnum and think no way possible, the old 38 special was loaded with a 200 grain lead! There is some good info from Glen Fryxell on the web about the Lyman...

The Lyman 358627 or the Noe clone weighs in at 215 grains and is a outstanding heavyweight in the 357 magnum. My S&W 686 with a 8 3/8” loaded with Winchester 296 or H-110 is very accurate

The Rcbs thermometer is outstanding! The lead pots will vary on temperature and every Mould will vary on what temperature it cast the best at.
Another great way is not to snip them off but let them cool and take a small pair of pliers and give them a twist, they will look way better than cutting them apart

I agree a 110% with the guys above about trying to correct it. I am curious about using the tool to sort out the loaded rounds to see if it would make any difference in accuracy, such as keeping them...

Has anyone tried using a concentricity tool to correct cast rifle bullets? If so what have the results been after correcting it?

I shoot the Rcbs 150-FN in my Marlin 336W with Imr 4895 and size them to .310. Here is a 3 shot group at 75 yards using a 3-9 power scope

Did you measure the diameter of one of the cast to see if it’s a 30 caliber or other?

I’m going to try some top end loads with the Lee 500 grain with some 3031 or 4064 Looking to get around 1800-1900 fps or so

I have the Lee 500 grain gas check mold now but thinking about getting the Rcbs 500 grain

What are some of your favorite 458 Winchester Magnum loads. I just traded for a Remington Safari custom shop 458 and want to start casting and loading for it

I can promise you that it’s not the wet tumbling causing the brass to split. I wet tumble everything I load for now days from 223 to 50 Bmg in a 15# rotary tumbler using stainless Steel pins, Lemi...

A couple things might be going on. One is bullet not being sized to large enough diameter, also gas checks coming off can cause problems. What diameter are you sizing them?

It should be a outstanding load for deer!

Made a quick trip to the range and fired 3 rounds through the chronograph and here is the results, chronograph was set at 75 feet away

I used a start load of 175 grains of 860 and stopped at 180 grains. The brass looks great, no blackened necks and the primers look good! I do know that 860 varies greatly from lot to lot. My new...

Not put any through a chronograph yet, waiting on the new one to get here. They are sized to .513 and loaded over surplus 860 powder in Lake City brass and dacron filler over the powder
