Well. Make sure to put in as much blackpowder you can and then kompress it so you can seat the boolit. It will bee more than 30 grains. I think the cartridge was loaded whith 30 grains of some kind...

Hi . havent seen this post until know. The old 12.17- 44 r works well whith about 60 gr. Of bp and a a lee 450 gr 50 cal. Soft slug. I used the boolits as cast and panlubed whith some lube like spg....

i shoot 40-65 bp whith those primers. they work just fine, i have also used expensive federal benchrest lrm primers. the s&b ( lr) are absotutely first class. so are federal but at another price....
