I use a hot plate with a 3" wide, 1/4" thick piece of steel flatbar. The washers are used to level the mould so as to sit flat on the steel bar.

I have my own, but also sell them on occasion. All of the ones in the pic have been sold, but I could possibly go another round if enough interest is generated. A friend of mine makes them for me...

Locally they run $10-$15 per box/50...if you can find them. I asked about a place to find some on another forum that I frequent. One of the members replied that he had some that he no longer needed....

I've gotten ww's at shops from over 200 miles from me. Always keep a bucket in your vehicle, even when on the road for a visit somewhere.

The worst they can do is tell you no.

Thanks. It will hold a 12 ounce can of liquid in volume, never weighed a ladle full of lead though. It will pour a 6 pound ingot with plenty of room to spare.

Here's a homemade ingot ladle of mine. Bottom pour. Stainless steel. Made from a 4" to 3" pipe reducer.
