Maybe try vacuum sealing them in a vacuum bag. The bags are super durable and can be found in different thickness bags too. They should hold up alot better than normal zip lock bags.

I actually don't even use BB's anymore. I did when I first started, but found them to be more time consuming having to separate them from the boolits. Now I just put about 250 9mm boolits in my vibe...

I can use AutoCAD at school to draw up the design I need for it if that would save money and time.

I guess it doesn't need CNC. Would a mill be that accurate?
Thats not a bad idea to call a tech school. I'll have to find one around here.

Meet and greet would be awesome. Who would be up for getting together for some beers at a bar?

I agree that 9mm will take the longest to start seeing savings, but if you look hard you can reload for quite a bit cheaper than that. Right now the only expenses I have are primers and powder,...

This is my very first try at powder coating. I cleaned the lube off some commercially cast boolits with laquer thinner and simple green, it worked great except I think I needed to rinse them off with...

This is what I ended up going with for organization.

Original container is a zip lock bag. I didn't want to keep the powder in that.

How does everyone stay organized and stop cross contamination of different colors? My original plan was to get each one of these for each color I have, 1. Storage container 2. Container to actually...

I will scour this site a little more and find all the different ways to PC, except for with a spray gun, I don't have one. I'll give each different method a trial run with small batches and see what...

I just picked up some sample packs of colors from smoke and got a toaster oven. I picked up enough of the ziplock s round containers to have one for each powder for storage and one for actually...
Forum: Cast Boolits
I have read in these forums about people having issues with the Lee 55gr 224 mould feeding reliably in an AR. I guess it has to do with the design of the nose of the boolit. Is anyone having these...

I'm gonna be using straight range lead, once I get some. Lol

Is the NOE mould the same as the Lee mould?

At the shop I work at we have the shield right now for $290

I'm casting 9mm for my Sig 229 and my Springfield XD mod 2 4". I have read both of those usually run at 355-356. Or have I been misinformed?
Forum: Cast Boolits
I'm looking to cast 224 for my AR. It is a 16" carbine gas 1:9" upper. I'm not looking for bullseye accuracy, just looking to ring some steel out to 300 yards and punch some holes in paper. I will be...

Who would be interested in getting together for a day at the range? I am from the south burbs of Chicago, but I go out to an outdoor range in Indiana often. It would be nice to meet some fellow...

We use squeegees to sweep the range. Then use a dust pan to transfer the brass to buckets. The ventilation is really really good at the range though.

What if I work at an indoor range as an RSO? I'm in the range for probably 2-4 hours a day.
