I don't know if it is a 1911 dovetail slot size.

Well I did manage to file it down to size and it didn't take very long. What takes time for me is I need to sneak up on it so I don't take off one too many file strokes. Happens to me too much. Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I will try filing down the blanks that I have to fill the slot.

I just got a Stevens 44 in 22lr. It has a very nice old Lyman tang sight and the original buckhorn sight needed to be removed to allow use of the Lyman. I love this rifle and it is very accurate. I...

I owe Mike Venturino a debt of gratitude for exposing me, through his articles and experiences, for my love of BPCR, lever action rifles and single action army revolvers as well as old bolt action...

I tried the sizing die and pushed it in just a little and it worked. They all chamber now. Thank you for the help fellas.

I did slug the bore and it is .3233. Maybe it is different with pistol FC but it has always smoothed out the bulge on the crimp when applied. Is it different for the rifle FC?

I just got an 1894 Winchester with button magazine. I was trying different loads in it and came upon a sizing issue. I had some HSM factory ammo, which the bullet was way undersized, and some...

It was easier to drift it out to the right. I took a safe edge file I forgot about and with a few strokes I drifted it back from right to left and it went in to approx. where I wanted it to go nice...

The rear sight has no windage adjustment. I have not tried going the opposite direction but will do so now. Thanks

I have recently bought a Winchester 1894 in 25-35. I am shooting 117gr Hornady round nose in it and am getting very good accuracy but it is shooting left by a few inches. I have tried to drift the...

My bore scope finally started to show that there were actual lands and grooves in the barrel. I stopped then just because I was tired of the PITA chore that cleaning it was. I think a fatter boolit...

Well I took the rifle to the range this morning. I could not find any brass initially so I managed to find some HSM ammo for the brass as much as anything else. Horrible accuracy. I think the bullet...

I always wondered why there are so many round nosed projectiles that said they were offered to be used in leverguns. Is that really true that they cant to one side?

I don't know anything about the rifle I have my eye on as I haven't bought it yet. I just want to know all I can about it before committing to buy it. I can get dies and brass no problem but any...

I'm quite surprised I can't find a plainbased mold. I've looked at all the usual suspects and did some internet searches and can only come up with a gas check mold. With the faster twist rate I...

Thanks for the reply. I have some of that steel cleaner that looks like a chore boy pad. Just cut off a hunk and thread it around a bore brush. It really loosens up the crud well. A gunsmith did a...

I just recently bought one in 32-40 and have been trying to clean a sewer pipe full of crud out of it. I'm thinking I can get it done but will of course require lots of time and elbow grease. I've...
