Every time I go to a "U-pull-it" type junk yard and pay the $1 fee I just smile because I know I will get that back and more from pockets full of COWW's. "Nobody said I couldn't"
This is kinda late, but my experience with the advantage of a quality RD scope is the availability to open both eyes. This was a huge benefit on my deployments to make me more situationally aware. ...

Thats right the AL is lead, They are meant to go on Aluminum alloy wheels. They are usually lead. The stick-on's are perfect for round balls in my muzzle loaders and cap/ball revolvers.

I've been gone a while but am back. I have only ever tried RB, because they work for me. But I am curious if anything else works better. What about lube on top to seal the cylinder? Would that...
Actually Levi can't make it and I have to leave Sunday AM. So that might affect the numbers. Sorry we can't take the trophy's this year, someone else will have to step up. Thanks, Joe

I have pressure cooked Deer and Elk that was freezer burnt. It sat in my freezer for a few too many years and I just cut off the freezer burn and cut it into stew meat size and pressure cooked it...
Forum: Cast Boolits
Interesting thread, It's all about opinion and situation. A couple of months ago in Afghanistan I ws issued 45 Rnds of 9mm and 210 Rnds of 5.56. I "aquired" about double that and carried it all...
Saint,
Sadly the places to shoot are getting further and further away. I have had good luck going West on I 80 Just past the Grantsville exit you will see a hill side that comes almost to the...
Hey Bruce, any news for 2011 shoot? I should be back in time and haven't heard anything. Thanks, Joe
As we are discussing the "why" of this thread I am reminded of a CSI I saw once where someone was shot with a chunk of Ice, a boolit made completely of Ice that melted after it killed whatever it was...

I always separate them as I cast for Black Powder as well. The stick on's work great as is for Round Ball or other Muzzle Loader options. Joe

I should have started a new threat with this, sorry. BTS (Better than S#X) cake is actually simple. Use a 12-14 inch dutch oven, deep if you have one. Mix up a choclate cake mix from the box, I...

I have finally proven beyond dispute that everything tastes better when cooked with Cast Iron. Everything from cornbread, to fried chicken to Turtle BTS cake. Just ask anyone who has ever tried it....

I am having the same issue. Mine is an old bolt action made through Sears as well. I worked Gorilla glue into the crack and followed the directions completely. It rebroke in the same place after...

Thanks for all your support, It makes times like this easier when you feel the love and prayers of good friends around you. It was also a blessing to come home for the funeral. I'm headed back to...

Mini-14, What are you shooting it in? Have you slugged it? I have a Thompson Center that I have to pound .490 RB's in, and I've shot others that kind of roll right down with out a thick patch. ...
I think we need to consider the fact of speed. Most of the Boy Scouts I teach have a tendency to aim with a revolver, and pray and spray with a semi-auto. This is true with rifles as well, just...
Bayonets, gotta love em. Just some interesting trivia, the last documented bayonet military charge was in 2009, (Afghanistan). Their use in the Iragi and Afghanistan campaign is also well...

Thanks Limey, There are people here from all over the world, and yes we all keep our heads down. We had a good Christmas, but like dorothy said there's no place like home. I spent some time in...
