Wondering what bullet people are using for 38-55 long range cowboy shooting? I am thinking of a 300+ gr RN bullet but haven't found molds. I do cast 38-55 flat nose hunting bullets but I'm new to LR...

I use bamboo BBQ skewers to clean off the die when lube builds up. Works slick won't scratch and a lifetime supply is about a $buck.

Rule of thumb is that the better accuracy comes from the largest cast bullet you can chamber cleanly. A larger diameter bullet enters the rifling straighter and better centred than a smaller diameter...

I would agree with that in a regular lubed bullet, but I've got past 2000fps using PC PB ww-alloy bullets every time I tried it - which is only twice but there it is.

I don't think there is a better mold maker in existence. Tom definitely knows a thing or two about building molds and providing customer service.

I've seen a gap on Lee 6c twice. On one an alignment pin had shifted. The other one was a warped block.
