I shoot the Lachmiller 174 gr. FN GC, Powder coated ,and traditional lubes over 21 gr. Of IMR 4198. They shoot equally well out of my lever guns , and my 788 bolt gun. YMMV

252939 Just some 220 gr. RN lubes with Ben's Red. My SR1911 loves em.
My vote is for the Ruger SR1911. I own one with a 5" bbl, and it will eat most anything I feed it. Good sights ,and a very good trigger out of the box. Just my .02 - Caster

^ +1 What he said. I do agree with the .243 needing excellent shot placement, but SHOT placement discipline should be practiced regardless of bore size, bullet weight, FPS, so on and so on. Just my...

I don't have anywhere to stretch it out to 200 yards, but would love the chance. Would be nice to see a 5 shot group at least close to the one I posted. I shoot at a public range that is ran by the...

Windless day/ 65 degrees, distance 100 yards, off of bags. No foulers. 2 minutes between shots. Not too shabby I'd say.

Yes Waco I PC over GC all the time. Don't seem to have any adverse effects on accuracy. It does seem to "lock" the gas check in place as opposed to just checking after PC. Recovered PC boolits in...

I am skeptical of any further business with them ,until I start hearing that things are okay. When I bought my 8 lbs. It was an all new powder for me . Figured if it wasn't my cup of tea I would...

My favorite load with IMR 4198 is for my 30-30. The 174 gr. Lachmiller checked, pc'd, and sized to .311 over 20.5 gr. IMR 4198 . It is a deer slaying load. I also shoot alot out of my Rem .222 788...

Unless they are great big spots that are not covered you should have no problem. I suggest pocking out some that have those imperfections load some and shoot them. You will be surprised how little...

As stated above proper fit and alloy are the major keys to avoid leading. However with improper coverage around the bases may give slight leading issues.

Texas,
I have a 336 and I load mine at .311, and it did tighten the groups quite a bit. 174gr. Lachmiller pan lubes over 20.5 gr. Of IMR 4198. That seems to be the best combo I have found. Oddly...
Holy ****!!!!! God was watching over them for sure!! Glad nobody way hurt ,or killed!
