I am pretty certain that LeveRevolution is repackaged Reloder 12 because the burn rates are practically identical. That being said, what other powders would be suitable for heavies in the SKS? What...

Now for a direct answer to your question; I do indeed shoot 316299's from my Yugo SKS just fine using LeveRevolution. I seat the boolits to clear the front of the magazine (TAPCO) without any issues....

BTW, Junior Doughty (Junior1942) has a couple of articles on using LeveRevolution in the SKS with heavies; look for the sticky concerning Mr. Gibson's work and load data compilation. Not 2400, I...

Those Federal .303's I mentioned looked exactly like that. Bad brass.

We converted to all electric save the furnace in order to save on propane. We ran out of propane in the DEAD of winter a few years ago and decided enough was enough.

Having never used headspace gauges, I use the o-ring trick to set headspace right away, even using factory rounds on the first firing. As you stated in your other post, keep that brass with that...

I actually checked out Rangerpoint; DANG!!! I know some of you have mixed feelings concerning 'tactical' leverguns, but I am just a bit enthusiastic!

Out of a new box of 20 Federal brand ammo in .303 British, I had 5 with split necks on the first firing. Sent them to Federal with a general inquiry; received a coupon towards a new box. Bad brass?...

If you tumbled 15 pounds(!) of buckshot, could that be lead residue you are seeing? Isn't there some sort of lead wipe available you could use?

I take it they didn't have OSHA around?[smilie=l: Dang, that was a lathe! Would love to see the foundry!

Try 13 grains of Red Dot and a -299 style from NOE. I use a 316 size in both of my Enfields with good results.

Disregard!

Take a look at Mr. Gibson's 'sticky' concerning load development with the SKS; also look for Junior1942's work.
