Yea my bad, I was half a sleep. Lol
Handgun was a Sig 1911-22 I bought from a buddy. Added some upgrades to it and I must say it’s a shooter.

A CZ American 457 in 22lr. Haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet.

About 2 months ago I drove 4 hours round trip to buy a case of Winchester 333. $.10 a round plus about $40 in gas.
And about the same time I bought 1000 rounds of CCI 22 short quiets for $100. I...
I all so use 16gr. of 2400 with my (NOE) 285gr Keith and 300gr silhouette. They are both good accurate loads
H110/296 for most of my jacketed bullets and mostly 2400 for my cast.

I’m not casting these Bullets, I’m buying them from GT Bullets. And that is they’re mixture, 2-2-96.
They should arrive to me on Thursday. I basically wanted to know if it was a good mixture.
Forum: Lead and Lead Alloys
So this is basically what I can expect from a 2-2-96 mix?
And should be perfect from 1000 to 1200 fps?
Forum: Lead and Lead Alloys
Good to here I just ordered 250ct. 285gr. 44cal & 250ct. 280gr. 45cal.
They’re both cast from an NOE mold
Forum: Lead and Lead Alloys
Yes it is 96.
To me that seems kind of soft for 44 & 45 cal bullets. My estimated velocity would be 1050/1100 fps.
I’m asking because I’ve been thinking of placing an order from GT Bullets and...

I have a Henry 45-70 & so far it shoots everything fine. It's the one with the semi buckhorn rear sight not the ghost ring or barrel band.
My problem with this gun is the ramp on the rear sight...
And all I'm going to do with these cast bullets is shoot steel gongs at 200yrds. and maybe kill a few pieces of paper.
i all so loaded up some Hornady 350gr. FP behind 50grs. of h4198. And I got a...
I don't about the 1600fps for sure either. I was just going by a couple posts I found doing a search on those bullets.
i can't remember for sure but I think someone said the hardness is a 16 and are...
Well I was able to pick up a couple pounds of 3031 & a pound of RL-7.
i went with 46.5grs. of both powders for both the 350's & 405's.
now I just need my rifle tracking says Monday
I found some data for RL-7 & 350gr. cast. But not for an 18.5" bbl. but I think 40grs. Out of that bbl. length should put me around the 1600 mark. Problem is I can't remember if my local shop has...
I just bought a Henry 45-70 18.5" bbl. and would appreciate some info.
First I have an order of 250 Oregon Trail 350gr. bullets on the way and was reading they should be kept below 1600fps. Well the...
Forum: Factory & Surplus Powder
Around me I've seen about every Alliant powder made, except 2400. Which is the one I need.
Thanks for the advise Robert but alliant's site didn't have what I wanted & I have about every current manual made & none have any loads listed for a 170 & unique.
I was able to find a load for a...
The reason I'm going with Unique is I have 3lbs of it. But I was able to pick up a pound of Blue Dot about a week ago. I was gonna see if my buddy would load me up some 12ga. Magnums with it. Any...
No not looking for magnum vellocity. 1000 to 1100 fps
Maybe I'll start at 7gr. then & see how they shoot.
And yes I'll be using a Blackhawk.
I'm looking for a good load for 357mag using unique & 170gr Kieth bullets.
Ive searched & come up with nothing solid.
I was going to try 7.5grs. for a start.
These are plain based bullets. I traded a reloading manual for them about a year ago. Their neither SWC or RN style. Not really looking for pin point accuracy I just want to load them to shoot at...
Yea I figured it should be ok but I know with fast burning powder & heavy bullets pressures can jump up pretty fast.
I have 80 325 cast bullets I want to try & load up using Titegroup. I'll be shooting these out of a Ruger BH.
I know theirs better powder choices out there but I just want to try this combo out if I...
