I have used WC872 in 30-40 Krag and 30-06. I use an electric pencil as a vibrator to settle the powder down.

Best thing is with some sort of thin probe push one side of the gas check until it is side ways in the neck and then with a very long, slim, needle nosed pliers etc. pull the gas check...

You can just Beagle the rear part of the mold or driving bands, the nose diameter will not increase that much. I have done this to a 311284 mold. Try it.
