The Beretta is big, but quite accurate and it will feed virtually any cast bullet style reliably. However, my Sig P226 is a very slightly more accurate than the Beretta with the same loads.

I've had a #358439 HP mould for many years; I think it's from the '60s. WW bullets weigh 155 grs. I've never used the hottest of loads; best accuracy has been with 12 grs. #2400 for a muzzle velocity...

I bought an 8 lb. jug from Powder Valley several months ago and some 1 pound bottles a few months before that. I don't recall what it cost and don't know if it's currently available, but it might be...

I've used one for .220 Swift brass for about ten years or so. Follow directions and they work perfectly. I've seen no decrease in accuracy in a very accurate Ruger 77V. I have had to neck turn the...
I've had the plainbase version of that bullet for about twenty years. I've never gotten decent accuracy with it in the .38 Special. It does much better in the .357 if pushed hard, but it's never been...
I have the Lyman version from about thirty-five years ago along with the Lyman #358439 HP version from the '60s. Both shoot well, but I think the HP may be slightly more accurate. I prefer the H&G...

I haven't had a .375 Whelen Improved in years, but I got excellent accuracy with the 270 Hornady SP and IMR-4064. That was more than thirty years ago. If I had the rifle now, I'd also try H4895. I...

Most accurate 9mm bullet I've found to date has been the obsolete Lyman #358212, a 150 grain round nose for the .38 Special. sized to .357" or .358".

Just as well; I haven't found any of the H, but the IMR is pretty easy to find and I'm familiar with it. I bought several pounds from Powder Valley.
According to my notes from years past, I worked in tenth of a grain increments with the #069 (H&G 68 copy). 4 grs. Bullseye (750 fps) was very good, though 3.5 appears to be the best. 4.2 grs. and...
Slow firing was where I saw the 452460 wasn't quite up to the accuracy of the #069 or the #130, but I only tried two Bullseye powder loads from old notes. Same for the #452488 and the RCBS 45-200.

I've been using the 200 grain SAECO/Redding #069 design (#H&G #68 copy) for many years. A light popular target load with 3.5 grs. Bullseye has been very accurate as well as 5 grs. for a full-powered...

405grain- I tried commercial grease wads about twenty or so years ago when I was getting leading in a .357 revolver. Leading was eliminated and accuarcy improved, however I was using a bullet that...

I was casually giving thought to trying grease wads again but may not. I noticed my Cabine Tree grease wad extruder in my reloading room a few days ago gathering dust. It's seen little use since I...

Is anyone using grease wads in bottleneck cases like the .308 or .30-06? My only experience with them has been in straight wall cases like .357 Magnum and .405 Winchester, maybe a couple of others. I...

I've found it will equal SR4759 in accuracy in two .308s with my favorite .308 bullet. I'm using an Eagan MX3-30ARD, about 200 grs. in ww alloy with 20 grs. 5744, muzzle velocity about 1660 fps. My...

Check Powder Valley regularly. I bought an 8lb. jug of #2400 a couple of months or so ago.

I've had the #314299 and the #311284 for a long time. According to my notes, the #314299 has almost always been the more accurate of the two bullets in the .30-40, .308, and .30-06, but my load...

It was a .380. I sized bullets to .356". Accurate, just as in the PPK/Ss.
I've tried many cast designs in the Beretta 92F that I purchased new about thirty-five years ago. Nothing shoots as accurately as the 150 grain round nose Lyman .38 Special design #358212, but I...

I got rid of all .380s some years ago but had a Makarov and several PPK/s. In my notes, it shows a 93 gr. RCBS round nose design as best, closely followed by a Lyman 100 grain flat nose. If you like...

Between #2400 and H110 for the .357 Magnum and .44 magnums, I'd certainly spend more money and buy the #2400. The lack of blast and muzzle flash with #2400 would be worth the cost.
