Brassmagnet, Thank you for the advice sir. I'm hoping to run it in the manual configuration but if all else fails the upgrade is around $95.00 and I will go that route.

Ladies and Gents, I just got a Dillon 450 that I am cleaning up and trying to get running as it was intended. I am missing the small primer pieces such as the punch, slider, and tube. One of our...

Hey guys and gals,
I'm looking to take a sip of the blue kool-aid and I'd like to start simply. I've got a tight budget and I'm hoping to find a Dillon 450 bare press for around $100. I also...

Dog gone, I really wouldn't mind getting one of these but I ain't quite got $120 for a press right now.
My Girlfriend has a Walther PPKs and a Colt Frontier but if I aint paying attention she will try to steal my Kimber. She loves the 1911 and shoots pretty respectable with it.

45-70,
I had a stainless 4" a while back and it had bad cylinder throats in it. In fact, one had a deep spiral tool mark in it but that was my fault for not checking it. I have no idea about...

Jetsfan,
I think I understand where you are coming from. However, reloading can be quite the art form and there are a lot of factors that go into a decision such as powder choice. If I were to...

I called swede and the answer is that the bullet is intended for the .416 gas checks. Now I read on here that the shank diameter for the .416's is .395 and I am at .389. That is only a .005+-...

Jcren,
I appreciate your response. I emailed AL at NOE. I'm thinking this may be an issue where the mold was designed for 416 gas checks and not the 41's that I bought from him. Hopefully this is...

The shank measures at .389 the id of the check is .376. The check thickness is .017. so the OD of the check plus the shank is .423. I am sizing to .410. This is not going to work is it?

Ok, I read around and I will try the toaster oven method of annealing. Hopefully this makes the difference that I need.
Thank you

Jcren,
I am PCing that is why I put it in this section but in retrospect may not have been the best place. I tried the Lee Push Thru sizer to seat the checks and this did not go well at all. I...

Fellow casters,
I am working on building a load for a new .41 Mag. The mold I choose was NOE's .412-238 WFN GC http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product_info.php?cPath=40&products_id=1794. The...

argggghhhhhh I waited to search this topic until I had a problem. I have 300 .41's coated. I just got me Lee PTS and tried to seat my checks. That is a no go for this bullet. I'm moving lead trying...

Shoot-n-lead, I second that. I was in the BPS last week and picked up a pound of 2400. They had more left and I figured i'd leave the rest for the next guy.

Well, I have posted on this thread three different times I think. Each time right after I moved. This time its taken a while because I bought this house and I wanted to wait until the reloading room...

I poured a few .358's and I built a shelf to put my dies, powder measure inserts, and shell plates in. I also deprimed a gazillion (give or take a few) .38 special/ .357 brass. I reorganized my ammo...
I'm a user of the SPP brass. Mainly I stick with Federal and Blazer the headstamps appear to be out of the same factory but I may be wrong.
Four-Sixty,
I never considered sizing them backwards. You are a genious. I don't know why ideas like that do not come to me easier. I swear I get use to a procedure being done a certain way and...
Sw thank you. I got my mits on some 2400 today and my mold from Al was in the mailbox when I got home tonight so it is almost time to start experimenting. My first step is to cast a few soww bullets...
Looks good. I can see a use for it outside of what is loaded on the progressive for sure.
Lucky,
Thank you that is exactly what I was after. Is that an Accurate manual or a caliber specific manual?
AnyCal,
I am surprised that your throats are that large. Many, including me, have been complaining of too small of throats in new Rugers. I would check the barrel and see what it is in...
