when one reads of primer tubes detonating is it in reference to the 650?

If a primer detonates in station one of the Dillon 550 can it cause the rest of the tube / magazine of primers to blow or is it too far removed?

Some makes of commercial brass, the old Hertenbergs come to mind - have very tight primer pockets even though they are not military crimp. Will the Dillon swage help with this as well?

Do any of you guys have experience with the primer / swage kit from CH4D?

Since moving to the Dillon 550 from hand priming / single stage setup, I've noticed the variances in primer pockets when using range brass. I'm loading 9mm.

Thanks for your opinions guys. Gear has a particularly good point on the blue presses - perhaps they are a bit better in certain area but I guess no product is completely without fault.

I find I get different seating depths at times and while the powder charges are always the accurate with my Lee Auto Disc, differing case length can alter the extent of the belling.

Youre right Randy. I did the price comparisson and for what I'm doing the extra cost is just not worth it. My Lee dies have served me well for 21 years now!
