You could just drive the sizing ring out with a brass drift or wooden dowel. It's just pressed in. Can be taken in and out a few times and still hold.

Not much help, they will get harder to an extent as they sit after baking. Tumbling is often a side effect of severe leading. Curious to see what it is.

I flip mine into a wire basket over a sheet of foil, dump back in bowl. With ASBBs I pick them, but only because I haven't bought a colendar and my wire is too tight a mesh.
