I bought one of these today for $80.
Many parts are missing but I now have a blueprint for rebuilding it to working condition.
Thank you for this article.

Hello, is anyone out there swaging for .348 diameter? I just purchased a Model 71 Browning in 348 Winchester.
I think a home swaged 220ish grain flat point would be perfect.
What brass casing would...

I've been shooting my 65gr rimfire jacketed leadtips for several years in IHMSA competition. I'm regularly getting 3/4" groups or better at 100 yards from my 10" contender Hornet barrels. I have won...

How about a .375, perhaps with a .175 meplat? Something that could possibly use 38 super cases to make bullets for a 75 Win or a 38-55.

Is that my old Craftsman lathe?
You have come a long way my friend and you are doing outstanding work. I was impressed the first time I met you and you continue to amaze me.
Be well and best of...

I was the tooling engineer at Nosler for a little over 6 years. While I was there I dealt with wall thickness variation of the Nosler product and decided to check out the rimfire cases. It was...

Bret, I picked up a Grizzley Small gunsmiths lathe with the DRO a year ago. Now my Craftsman mostly sits around. I think Brian could use it, so I'll loan it to him until he decides if he likes it or...

I'm working on that right now, I have an extra lathe to loan him to see if he likes it or not. It should be at his place within a month.

I live a little over a hundred miles from Brian, so I arranged a trip to see his operation and buy a 44 cal One step die. For a little background I am a mechanical engineer, former Nosler Tooling...

I have about 40 Ponderosa pine trees on my property. I've been sitting on a gold mine this whole time.
I never knew rosin was powdered pine pitch.
Read and learn, read and learn. It just takes so...
blaser 306 I'm sure we could arrange that.
Please e-mail me directly and I will put you in contact with the appropriate person.
Thanks for your interest.

Was that bullet made with pure lead or wheelweights?
Nice expansion no matter what.

Always a comedian in the house.
Naw, same old boring stuff, Reid, Pelosi, Biden and Obamanama.
Shoot often and shoot well.

Howdy folks, I have had several contacts about handgun silhouette in the great state of Alaska.
There is not a current operational program but interest is rapidly growing.
If you are in Alaska and...

I bought, modified and used the CH cannelure tool to put 2 cannelures on my 41 cal jacketed bullets. It was a huge pain in both effort and blisters.
I finally spent the money on a Corbin power...

CWME you might consider putting notches in your channel on the wedge end to keep it centered. A hook or loop or pair of forks welded to your channel to go under the wedge might also be a good idea. ...

A couple of other factors to keep in mind.
The difference in billet to wire diameter has a huge effect on the pressures. Take a 3/4 billet down to .185 wire and that will take much more pressure...

So much for recovering a bullet. I shot one of my flatpoints into a 6 foot long chunk of 8" diameter, 1/2 inch thick sewer pipe filled with water. I figured the water might want to come back out so I...

One way to accomplish the same thing is to double jacket the bullet.
Would require some different tooling to make the smaller (inside) jacket but not impossible by any means.
Have fun

I gotcha BT Sniper, it's the other river. A visit and show and tell would be a bunch of fun. I have one of the Corbin power cannelure machines, perhaps I can help? March might be a good time to come...
