I can't lube the boolits or the sizer. The pills are getting powder coated next.

Thank you Maven the added magnums were possibly much harder than my cww and range lead mix.I hate using the LEE bh gage but that is next.

Dillon media-separator and tray & magnets works well.
Go with 5 pounds of pins!
The pins chip away at the corners and crevices of the primer pocket and rim where bb's can't go.

When I size (to.365) with my LEE 9mm sizing die, the large .359-.361 pills take large arm-strength. WHY are my latest batch so fat? The alloy mix includes equal parts range lead, cww, older...

Thank you Cap'n
I guess my "fear" was one of breaking the mold in my vise. I think the warp (.008)is beyond lapping but I will start there. Then the vise, if necessary.

I will use a yellow china marker. Don't want to borrow her Revlon...too many questions:neutral:

Thanks DB. I spoke to a "die guy" who said its almost impossible to warp/un-warp bronze. He asked about other factors like changes in alloy and casting temperature. MAYBE since I did add significant...

I have made 10,000 9mm (135gr R.N.)castings without problems. My 6 cavity Policlips MX93 recently began leaving fins at the ogive end of almost every drop. I can slip a .008 shim between the mold...

I only have a couple molds for my Policlips MX93 bullet caster. If anybody has 10/40cal C.N.180gr(preffered), I can be a buyer asap. Thanks for any help.

After reading through hours of comments about PC ing using blackBB's and a #5 Cool whip container, I have decided to try it.

The "PigletMethod" is all I was referring to. At about 125 boolets 180grain( or 150 135grain) dry, in a plastic pail, pour about a half ounce of (pc/acetone mix) liquid and quickly agitate and pour...

I handed off my yellow Pc to a friend who ESC's his pills. I got back a supply of all purpose spray-paint that he was willing to swap, and I needed.

The sand colored "bacon grease" yellow powder (from SMOKE) doesn't work for me. In fairness to him, I questioned whether I can use the liquid/slurry with the product he sells. He basically said he...

Nearly all the 1,000's of bullets I shoot in competition (USPSA, Steel Challenge, and local plate matches) are HF PC /acetone. I have seen the references to " Smoke's " coatings but don't know what...

Thanks Doctor, for sharing. Your "Why Bother" tirade was spot-on. You have soothed my raw nerve endings for the moment.
Now for experiences and results:
Try 4 parts acetone, 1 part white gloss HF...

I had only a few years worth but that has expanded here recently due to another benefit from powder coating: the fact that when you're powder coating range scrap it's just as good as CWW for...

1.190 with a very slight taper crimp looks/seems normal enough. I will load a few doz. and chrono. and function test with 5.7 grains of HP 38 looking for 850fps +/-

Great pic. 243winxb!
Now I'm looking guilty as hell. About every loaded cartridge I own fits the "chamber too long/case too short, headspaces on extractor" description.

Because I'm "learning" to powder coat, I opted to cast tumble-lube style bullets. The first micro band is about gone into the first micro groove at 1.250 seating depth. I actually had to roll crimp...

My new 6 cav. LEE mold just got tested. The 6 dozen bullets came out @ .451 with few exceptions. I ran it at 550*F then 600*F then 650*F then 700*F. And they ALL came out the same size..... .451 ...
