I just bought a Hornady case neck turner. It came without mandrels (already ordered) or lock nut. Are replacement lock nuts available? If not, what kind of a nut should I look for?
Thanks.

I got an RCBS ram for my old Pacific C press.

Take the decapping rod out and using a soft hammer (not steel) tap the case all the way into the die. This may allow the head to fully size down. A vise will also work.
You might also try shortening your casas so that you can seat to the crimping groove. (Brian Pearce recommended this for loading 357 Magnum cases with 357429 bullets in shorter cylinders.)

That went well.
How about Accurate 2460 or Hodgdon Benchmark?
Thanks.

Thanks, guys. RCBS holders don't work with Hornady case trimmer.

What Hornady shell holder are you using for this cartridge? Charts are all over the place and don't match the case specs.
Thanks.

Is anyone loading 7.5 x 55 with CFE223 or StaBall 6.5. I want to use the Sierra 168 Tipped MatchKing bullets. The rifle is a K31.
Thanks.

Cases can lengthen when resized. The X dies were supposed to control the case length, at least when I first started reading about them.

I have a new NOE mold. It has the brackets for holding the nose punches on the bottom. How do you preheat your molds?
Thanks.

I just received a new RCBS ram. I'm going to install it in place of a Pacific shellholder ram.
Do I need to remove the retaining clip to install the ram? Or is there another trick?
Thanks.
I sent another email to Jared. He responded and after a couple more emails, he sent me two of whatever those screws(?) are called. They are now installed and things look good.
Thanks for the responses. I didn't think Lee would work. I'll try to be somewhat more patient.
Yeah, mine didn't. Are you using the regular Lee screws?
Thanks for responding.
I just got a new Arsenal mold. I ordered it with Lee handles. The mold looks fantastic, but came with no instructions or mounting screws.
While I wait for an answer to my email, how do I attach...

Not formed as 7mm, these are loaded 5.56 cartridges. They just won't fire. Sized primed 223's will fire the primers, but the 5.56, don't.

Several posters have mentioned just firing the 5.56 cartridge in a 7mm TCU firearm to form cases. My Contender just dents the primer. Is there any trick to getting 5.56 cartridges to fire in a TC...

Would this be any easier going through intermediate steps?

The .310 Cattle Killer cartridge is a bulleted round and not a blank for a captive bolt gun. Its circular dimentions are the same as those for the .310 Greener Cadet but it is...
