4.2 gr of Red Dot and H&G 68 gives me 2" groups at 50 yards from sandbags with my Les Baer Bullseye model. I see no reason to switch! I use 3.7 gr for my Timed and Rapid fire loads.

Since 1976 I've had: '70 Bronco, '73 Wagoneer, '46 CJ2A, '70 CJ5, '97 TJ that I kept for 18 years. Did a little bit of everything with and to that TJ, including dropping a 5.7 Hemi in it. Been...

Seems like all the powder companies have good on-line reloading data for their current powders. My two favorites for the 10mm are Longshot for the heavier loads (I can hit about 1250 fps with 180s...

I use 3.7 gr Red Dot for the 25 yard line and 4.2 gr Red Dot for the 50 yard line in Bullseye matches. That 4.2 gr load shoots 2" at 50 yards from sandbags in my Les Baer Bullseye. So the only...

Dan and TX, looks like you pretty much have it! I've buggered up too many cases doing a heavy roll crimp on a hunting load while doing both at the same time. I bought a Dillon crip die, but if you...

All good advice ^^^. I was trying to come up with a good discription of too heavy of crimp, and I think leftiye has it right in post #3. Good job on deciding to seat and crimp in seperate steps.

Of the powders listed, I'd start with Power Pistol. You must have the data on it. My favorite heavy load 10mm powder is Longshot, accurate and good velocity. 296 is too slow. Some like Blue Dot...

I'll second Universal Clays. I like it enough that I just bought an 8lb jug. Comparing data between the two, some loads are identical, some not. You'd want to go by the book, regardless.

I was going to suggest WC820 or WC 297, but I see neither Pat's nor Bartlett's have either one. Both have a burn rate similar to H-110/296. Other than AA#9 or 4227, Longshot might be another powder...

Hodgdon does not list .44 mag loads with Titewad. It's a pretty fast powder. clays is fast, also, but at least they list data for it. I personally don't like small charges of fast powder in the...

Nobody here mentioned extermination that I saw. But a well regulated hunting season may give them back a fear of man (which they truely should have), and won't affect the population near as much as...

I know it's not the same, but I use 3.7 gr of RED dot for timed and rapid fire and 4.2 of red dot for the 50 yard line. That 4.2 load will shoot 2" off of sandbags at 50 yards out of my Les Baer...

I've ended up using Red Dot as my standard .45acp load for Bullseye. With a 200 gr SWC, 4.2 gr is my 50 yard slow fire load, and 3.7 gr is my 25 yard timed and rapid fire load. Both function...

The 180 gr data will be a slightly smaller powder charge than one for a 165. So I'd say it's a safety thing. Better to work your way up.
