I would agree with everything I have read so far, especially the quality comments. I hate to replace things. I have (& had) red dots on pistols, rifles and combat style shotguns. Some didn't last a...
The one revolver I regret selling was a DW .357, I had 3 V barrels, all shot well a 2 1/2", 6", and 8. The 8 was scoped, had it at the 50yd range one day and the range master came over and quietly...
I used the Buffalo Rifle powder for my .45-70 and found it to be extremely accurate, I bought some to try, then bought #3 more (when you could get it).

We used to make #1 stock sets - #3 fits no problem. You do have to adjust your grip with the #3 lever. We never changed the lever, you just learn to grip the stock with fingers over the lever.

I have several of the ones you are talking about, and the ones with notches are manual retract, solid legs auto retract. Mine are probably 20 years old, I don't know about current models. I think...

I am a big M70 Fan. Why do you think it was made in 1977? I ask because the lg. shroud on the back of the bolt covering the cocking piece on the firing pin was only used for a couple of years after...
A nice little Blackhawk, .41 mag, 1970 mfg, then a day later I found a set of unused Steve Herritt grips, had the scope, rings & EGW bases. Good week. Now that makes two.272118272119272120

Yes, shot my Sig 220 today, in fact. Love the cal. and the Sig; also own a custom Colt 1911. What's not to like? Accuracy, check; mild recoil, check; fun factor, check; historical significance, check.

MEC Marksman Press, Lee Pistol dies can't go wrong with that set up. No buyers remorse.

Continuing on the stock discuss: When you bedded, did you cut pillars for the front and rear action bolts?
If not I would do it, they will help so as not to crush the stock under torque from...

I have had problem 308's (usually not many though), and I went to the police/target ammo: Federal 168gr Sierra HP Gold Metal Match to check the rifle. That ammo runs 'perfectly' thru a 10 twist and...

I once knew a gunsmith with excellent reputation and a long work list. When a job came in (gun) it went on "the" rack, first in - first out. Rules were: time frame given, don't call. If you called,...
I just saw some .454 Casull ammo for sale - nice little 'started' pistol. Na just kidding,
Can't beat a .22 pistol/rifle and .38/357 pistol as a starting point - you can still find ammo & have fun...

A little late, but keep in mind there several companies that make a one piece picatinny style base. I have done this many times to solve almost any mount scope problem. With the cross slots all along...
I'm thinkin' this is a rather silly question, try to buy one (especially) today - remember this date. I got the one I bought for my wife out and polished, cleaned, checked the C/T laser batteries and...
