The problem with the hellcats is the tight throat. All my 9mm pistols all use lee 358-125-RF but the hellcat will not chamber these no matter how short the oal or sizing down. Got out my old lee...

50/50 soft and ww with 1% tin is good as well as 75 soft to 25 ww with a little tin.

I use the lee 358-125-rnfp in 3 9mm pistols, one 9mm carbine, 38 spec revolver, ruger gp100 357, and 2 rossi lever 38/357
i size all to 358 and use a larger expander in my 9mm powder through die.

1- 3.2gr red dot in 38 spec or 3.5 gr red dot in 357 for soft loads
2. 15.3 gr win296 or H110 for 357mag deer load

+1 I roll crimp all my 38/357 loads without the use of a fcd and have never had any problems whatsoever

For the .40 i use the 401-175-tc which is the single lube groove and found i like that best, however i really like and continue to use the tl452-230-rn and the tl358-158-swc for microgrooves and love...

I just started pc bullets this year, prob done about 3500 in the last month alone and havent lubed up a boolit yet to size. Just run them through your sizing die after pc and be done with it.

Like other have said already, try to find some cheap lead(plumbers,roofers,wheel weights) and mix with your #2 alloy. I prefer a little softer bullet and run coww with some soft in everything...

When i was lubing my bullets with my lyman lubesizer i never worried about it, now i pc everything.

1. Try a shallower container with a few more bb's and little less powder
2. Silicone baking sheet, parchment paper, or non-stick foil
3. Oven thermometer to double check your temp 10 min at 400...

Shot thousands of these and wouldn't conisder changing it for nothing.

I have and use a pro 1000, it is a good press but has it quirks, for 45acp i use a lee 4 hole turret press and think that is your better option for a newbie to lee presses.

The rossi i have now has only seen lead reloads from birth. Probably ate 5000 in the last 2 years.
