A friend of mine has an old Ithaca 410 pump shotgun.
It looks all original, but it is in bad shape and needs an overhaul.
It states on the barrel that it is a 3" .410 the barrel appears to be...

Any idea as to where to find one? I've tried all the usual suspects, Midway, cabellas, sinclares, etc...

2400 doesn't really show it's potential until you get into mag level loads for the 357.
+1 to the BE or RD
unique might be another option to look at as well

I picked up a few months ago a Case Blued Mares leg from a local gun shop.
It was shooting about 12-14" high at 10 yards. So I replaced the rear sight with a skinner peep sight, and it shoots...

My favorite would have to be my Marlin 1894C

My Marlin 1894c in 357 loves the 180gr in 38 special brass over 10gr 2400.
It my most accurate load.

I've got to agree with everyone so far - I've been shooting cast out of my 1894cs (357mag) for almost a year now - I've put close to 1000 rounds through the pipe - no leading to speak of that doesn't...

I have 2 Winchester cowboy factory load boxes for the 45 I'd be willing to donate to the cause...
I cannot speak about accuracy - but from looking at those they look like top end loads. Looking at the Hodgdon 2011 a 180 grain Nosler Part 13.5gr H110 is 39K cup for the 357 magnum.
21.0gr for a...
+1 on the unique loads 8.0-9.0grains under a 250-255 will work wonders
+1 on the W231 6.5-7.5 under a 250-255
+1 on 2400 - I use 15.0 grains under a 250/12.0 grains under a 300gr

The depth in the case is 0.430" +/- .001
An as I mentioned earlier these are loaded for my Marlin 1894C, This way with my 18" barrel I can load 10+1 - it gives me one more round in the tube.

I do apologize - The cast boolit is 180gr.
Forum: Leverguns
Unless you have a really tight bore and barrel you are not going to have stellar results.
You will more than likely maintain that 2-3" @ 20 yards
I'd suggest a larger boolit like mentioned...

I have a question for those of you that have Quick loads.
I'm loading a cast PB boolit with an average hardness of BHN 18 in 38 special brass for my Marlin 1894c with cci SP primers to an oal...
