My experience with bottom feeders is limited, but I would say .45 ACP, if for no other reason than there’s a much larger body of knowledge for cast bullets in it vs other rounds.

I should’ve qualified that it was with a specific bullet, which was .003 oversized, but I’ve stopped using the FCD for revolvers.
It’s what works for me. YMMV.
I was advised by Tom at Accurate Molds not to use the FCD as it swages down the bullets.
I run a Redding Profile crimp and bullets plunk just fine.
For .38/.357s with throats .358 & up, I load...
Do some trading.
I got lucky.
In early 2020, my favorite LGS closed out Remington 5 1/2s, $100 per 5K, no hazmat since they’re local.
Of all the guns I traded or sold, a 6” 624 is the only one I regret letting go,
Man it was a great shooter.

Question about the Henry .357:
Is it a full-length action designed for rifle cartridges, or shorter like a Winchester 92/Marlin 94?
A double-ended wadcutter based on the SAECO 348 (.38 special) has a bevel at the nose.
Crimped in the groove, it should fit right up against and the chamber throats and align itself.

The Taurus isn’t an “elderly” S&W design. It is similar but distinctly different, especially the coil mainspring. IMO, the leaf mainspring of the S&W is the key to its smooth, even DA trigger (at...
PCP gun?
Does that make ‘em go crazy & kill each other?
Yep, starburst is what I get. I can usually get a decent dot, but I have to fiddle with brightness and get my progressive lenses in just the right spot.
I’ll check out the Kingslayer. Thanks!
If you have astigmatism, the dot will look funky.
Polarized lenses are supposed to help, but I haven’t seen a difference.
I thought the 25 was the bull barrel and the 26 tapered.
My 25-2 has the bull.
As a USPSA grand master once said, “Wood for show, rubber for go.”
Good luck.
I tried one on my Match Champion 10mm using the EGW mount with a Swamp Fox Justice.
Dead-accurate at first, then the zero started wandering. All screws good & tight. The same sight...
When I heard Smith/Lipseys we’re rolling out a new carry revolver at the SHOT show, I had my fingers crossed for something like this blast from the past:

If that’s a “Pocket Blaster”, you’ve got some big pockets!
I’ve never heard anything regarding .357, but I’ve put together some very accurate loads in them with 148-grain solid base wadcutters, pushing them over 1,000 FPS.
DO NOT ATTEMPT WITH HOLLOW BASE...

I think you mean Tom Gibson.
Unless there’s another Tom at Accurate.
Forum: Boolit Lube !
About to take another stab at mixing my own lube.
First try was Satan lube that I poured in muffin tins, but it sure was messy and the lube was hard to scrape completely out of the tins. It still...
