I take the cast bullet and snap on a gas check. I then run it through the Lubri-Sizer. Depending on the bullet, some of them could be pretty hard to run through since there’s no lube on the bullet....

I also routinely wet tumble mixed brass and nickel cases with no discoloration. Not sure why OP is getting those results.
