6.5x284, we all know it's a bummer when this happens, but Ruger has excellent customer service....just wish we didn't have to use it so often.
I have a "fix" that I have used for this windage...

I wonder if they take carbon credits......they would be worth about as much as that steam-punk Remington!
My recently bought Blackhawk 45 Colt needed cylinder throats reamed, as they were too tight. (just as Doug stated.)
Mine are now .4525".

RJM52, I use the RCBS 45-255-SWC and the Lee 452-255-RF. I load both with 8.5 gr / Unigue.
The Rcbs cast heavy with 50/50 Coww/pure lead, at about 270 gr. The Lee runs right at 255 gr.
And again, thanks Doug!
Tricks of the trade! These tips can save a lot of anguish and money. :-)

I was using a 10% reduced charge of H335 with a 123 gr bullet. This part of fire forming went fine, but after one or two firings of the formed case with a worked-up load with IMR 8028 and a 123...
Just bought a new Ruger Blackhawk .45 Colt, with 4.6" barrel. Lately I have had some trials and tribulations with new Blackhawks, but Ruger Inc fixed my last one very nicely!
This will be my 6th...

Count me in the "Grendel Camp." Great cartridge!
One question for those here, why does the primer pocket get loose when firing forming 7.62x39 brass to Grendel?
Every 7.62 x 39 I fireform to...

Prayers in the Name of Christ Jesus for Sue and her health.
Bazoo, your experience mimics mine.
Simply changing to the Hogue grip improved my grouping.
Thumbcocker, it would be interesting to see a set of wooden Hogue monogrips worked down, to a nice...
This is probably pretty apparent to most here, but would just like give a heads-up about Hogue grips on my Super Blackhawk.
I have owned two other SBH .44's over the years (with the square trigger...

I have one of the new Marljn/Rugers in .44 magnum. It is excellent,... .430" at the grooves and it feeds Lyman #429421 seated to the crimp just like Elmer designed it to be used!

Amen to all the prayers of the believers for this family.
Unique....also in .40 S&W, .45 Colt, and mid-range .357, and mid-range .44 magnum.
Makes logistics easier! But, "I am a man,...I can change...I guess...if I have too!" (Red Green words of...

Size the boolits to .358" and give them a try.
After sizing, boolits will sometimes spring back slightly depending on the alloy, .0003"-.0005". I bet sizing .358" will work,...it always has for...
