I found his channel about a year ago. Subscribed and really enjoyed the content. Straight shooter with his word and firearms. Always thought his meat targets were a heck of an idea.

Towel drop for my 50:50 lead & ww air cooled hunting bullets and use water quench for range lead target shooting. The towel I use is a folded over once. I don't cast many hunting bullets at a time so...

I use a 165gr from NOE in my 30.30 and 30.06 rifles. They aren't 150gr but certainly not 200gr either but they have killed every deer I have shot with them.

I clean and lube my bait caster reels with it.

Rope. Do not use a rope like a water ski rope (poly)? It will stretch and squeak. The cotton type feeling rope will not make any noise.

Shout out to Larry Gibson for his help for the 50/50 mix. He told me about it when I first began hunting with cast and it hasn't let me down yet. Thanks Larry.

I water quench the ww/scrap target bullets but air cool the 50/50 lead and ww hunting bullets. I read an article some years back that the torque seat was actually named after a fellow. I remeber in...

Saturday morning I went to my 80 acre patch of land that a friend lets me hunt. The drop off from the shoulder of the road to the gate is kind of steep and without 4 wheel drive I actually had...

I'd say your bullet load combo killed him as dead as he was going to get. He fell within sight, what more could anyone ask for except drop in their tracks. It did the job that's for sure and so did...

I don't mind shooting a doe. I'd actually be fine with two for the year. I have a friend that lets me hunt on 80 acres and his one rule is no does. If that were not the case I have had a chance at...

As I was tagging a nice 6 point last week I tried to remember how many bucks I've killed in the last 8 years. That's how long I've been hunting with my own cast bullets. With the exception of one...

My 3 children had "military backgrounds" due to the fact my wife and I both were career military with 44 years between us. I'll have to ask them if their military background taught them how to make...

I use a 50:50 pure lead and wheel weight mix in a NOE 311165 in my 30.30 & 30.06. Fastest is around 1900fps out of the ought 6 and a tad slower in the 30.30.
I've killed quite a few deer with...

Not on your list but I carried a .44 mag in a Uncle Mike's shoulder holster the 4 years I lived in Alaska and never felt worried. I never had to shoot a bear with it and I was also bullet proof all...

I tend to shoot behind shoulder but will shoot high shoulder without fear of bloodshot meat in general.
I use a 50:50 pure lead and wheel weight mix in a NOE 311165 in my 30.30 & 30.06. Fastest...

I hunt with a 30.06 and a 30.30 and use the same bullet in each. It is a NOE 311165rf (165gr) and is easily effective on targets at 200 yards. For hunting I use a 50:50 mix of wheel weight and pure...

Congratulations to him and congratulations to you for the guidance you put in too. Getting him hunting is one thing but having him involved with everything else is way over a step above. He is our...

This is a part of a thread I put on my local site. Very very few cast shooters and even fewer cast bullet hunters.
One of the guys wrote: Might want to let them deer get in range, before you...

Way to stick it out and reward was a great buck.

Feels good doesn't it. Now you are hooked for sure. Nice buck.

Bucked out. He made the fatal mistake of chasing a doe towards my stand. I listened to him grunting as he got closer and closer following that doe. Almost a straight down shot right at the base of my...

"I noticed you changed your powder charge along with going to powder coating. Did you notice better accuracy and did you work toward a bit more velocity."
I wasn't trying for more velocity as I...

Looks like a neck shot but he was walking straight to me as I was in my tree stand. You can see the entry, but the exit was behind the offside shoulder. It was less than 20 yards and I was worried...

50:50 mix of pure lead and wheel weight out of my old 30.30 put the smack down on this one this afternoon. Dropped right there, no tracking required. Wanted to kill one with a powder coated bullet...

100 yards for rifle load development. Scope or irons. Scope gets a 1" bull and irons get an 8" bull. With irons I use a 6 o'clock hold with peep or standard rear iron sight.
