Speaking only from my own experience, the JPW (I used Trewax) gets rid of the stickiness of the dried lube, and the Carnauba seems to clean the bore leaving it shiny-clean.

Yes. I had completely forgotten about Gator checks at the time I placed my order. But I've got a thousand Hornadys now, so that'll hold me for a while. I'll definitely be thinking of Gator next month...

Update time. I ordered the Lyman 84 gr. mold and some 6mm gas checks from Buffalo Arms. They arrived today and I think I think I'm going to like that bullet a lot.

Yeah, 'cept Hornady doesn't sell direct, and neither Graf or Midway stock them.

I have been thinking about purchasing the RCBS 243-095 SP but noticed that I can't find 243 gas checks. Can a 25 cal. check be sized down to fit, or is there another solution?

I got to my local hardware store and buy spools of 95-5 solder. It's 95% tin, 5% antimony. Works good, reasonably priced.

I haven't tried it in rifles (yet), but I love it for handguns.
