Google show a number of these motors and they all seems to have a label which says 17,500 rpm!

It seems washing machine motors have changed a bit since I was making them...

If it has a "stellar" trigger pull, chances are the hammer spring has been cut to reduce the pressure on the sear.

I would suggest that the speed listed on eBay is a typo. Not a hope in hades that motor would run at 17,000 rpm! It is a simple squirrel cage motor and would nominally run at 1700 rpm.

I have the 17" version with angled eyepiece and it has been fine for what I need.

I reckon the angled eyepiece is worthwhile; it makes it much easier to use with the gun lying on a bench.
