I love a 16. I think I'm up to 5 and I've been drooling over an A5 sweet sixteen. It would suit me to use a 16 for everything I didn't need a max payload for.

I have 2 10# lots of pewter for sale. It is poured into small coin like ingots to make it easy to add to the pot.
I'd like $100 shipped for each lot. If you want both, I'll do a little better on...

best I'll do. $80 a box shipped. That's less than the tank of gas that you would burn running around finding it. I probably burnt more than that gathering it up.

I have been buying pewter for years and have more than I will ever use. Even though I have more than I'll ever use, I can't keep from buying it when I find it. It all came from thrift stores, flea...
I mainly load buckshot and keep 25 loaded and ready at all times. I use the MTM shell boxes and they work well for keeping them protected until they are loaded. Sometimes I'll have to load a few to...

IMO, the Winchester model 12 will always be #1. The Ithaca 37 was a nice well made gun, as is the old 870 Wingmaster. Current production, the Browning BPS is #1 with everything else a distant second.

Not #5 shot, but I've mixed 6, 7.5 and 8 shot from old shells I've cut up for the shot. I loaded it and couldn't tell a difference.

I have used nail polish. I don't know if it makes them more weather proof, but it makes me feel like they are.
I've sold some for good money on Ebay not too long ago. The fees are pretty high there now though. 13% iirc.
I mostly load low volume buckshot and do it with a roll crimper. I have a couple sizemasters and I do use them to resize and prime hulls when I'm using used hulls. I like that with a roll crimper...
That's what I used when I bought a duffle bag full of reloads from the flea market that had gotten wet. I pretty much just saved the shot and wads, but I got 30+ pounds of shot for 20 bucks.
The best buckshot data I've found in a manual is in BPIs buckshot manual. I didn't start making good patterning loads though until I found Wade Rush on Bubba Roundtree outdoors and later Roger...
I'm talking about muzzle velocity and you're asking about impact velocity.
I killed several deer with Remington 3.5" 00, some at 70+ yards before I knew how slow it was. The box says it's 1150...
The folks that always pushed open chokes for buckshot must have been using it for home defense. in the south, we have been shooting buckshot through full choked guns forever.

I appreciate it. I wouldn't shoot a deer with T shot though. Would like to make a #1 load stacked by 2s that will shoot a tight 40 yard pattern.

I like 000 and load 00 now, but I don't thinkbtheyll work well in a 20?

Hello. We run dogs and shoot deer with buckshot. My Dad is getting older, and wants to move to a 20 gauge hunt with. I want to try the loads I've seen Wade Rush post about on Youtube.
If anyone...
I tend to get the best patterns when pellets are stacked by 2s in a wad. I have a great 00 load stacked by 2s in an mg42 wad in 12 gauge. I also have a great 000 load stacked by 2s in a field...
The longboard patterns awsome in my gun also. Better than anything else I've tried ( I refuse to try the crazy expensive TSS or heavy shot). Wrecked one on Sunday at probably 45 yards.
I just realized yall weren't talking about buckshot patterns. I'm talking about buckshot patterns.
No sir. Yards
I wouldn't hunt with one I had to pattern @ 40 feet
In my experience, shotgun patterns fall apart quickly. My full choked gun throws an 11" pattern at 40 yards, but it opens up to 16-18" at 50 and will put most of the pellets in 24" at 60.
