I got him talked into Lee’s C309-170-F with Sage gas checks.

Ok, update. He had a lot of fun shooting 311041 sized to about .310. We never put it on paper as he had too much fun shooting this discarded air tank at 100 yards. 10 grains unique.325505

Thanks everyone. I only have Lee bullet sizers so it’s .309 or .311. .311 works in my pre-64 94 Win.. I think I’ll start with .309 first for his gun and see how it works.

What diameter are you sizing to?

I have that mold, but after you size it are you then powder coating it? That’s gonna add a bit of size to the bullet. At this point I may make him some sized to .309. These will be water hardened...

Wasn’t the original 94/22 a steel frame? And it did come apart like a Marlin.

If my bore is .364, I would still need hollowbase bullets in my 1901. If I recall, .358 bullets fell through the barrel.

This sounds like an undersized bullet/oversized barrel situation. Measure the diameter of your bullets. Lead bullets normally are .358 diameter. Slug your barrel. It should be .357.

Krags can have oversized bores. If you haven’t slugged your bore, start with at least. .311 cast bullet.
