lee 358-158-swc over 3.0 gr bullseye and remington 1 1/2 primers works great for me out of all five guns i have that shoot .38 special.

For plinking lee c309-170-f above 16 gr 2400 works great in my Winchester m94 trapper. About 1625 fps average and 2 inch groups at 100 yards. For hunting I put the same bullet over 28 gr 3031.
