I enjoy shooting with a good trigger on a 1911 or any hammer gun more than any striker fired pistol. That doesn't mean it's better, just my preference for recreational shooting.

I do that too. I figure the primers are a lot closer to the powder in the thousands of rounds I have on hand.
Only if you're using them in your 357 because 5gr is 0.2 over the max published for .38 special (See Slenk's post or look it up on the Hodgdon website)
I usually start working up a load at the...
My go to load is 4.0 gr TiteGroup under 200 gr LSWC. It averages 726 fps from my 1911

I don't understand why anyone would think that ebay would be the cheapest place to buy everything. As always, and educated consumer will do the best. For my purposes, Ebay is a great place to buy...

It might work if you could mount the SDB 90 degrees to its normal orientation so that you face the left side. You would add brass to #1 by reaching around the press, add a bullet at #3 in front of...

Before using the pegboard hooks, which I already had available, I considered using cup hooks under a shelf to hang them.

I hang mine from the pegboard on the back of my bench.

That's what I do. I sit a bit to the left of the press for a clear view of station 3. Station 1 can be done mostly by feel.
Environmental factors also influence how quickly metal tarnishes. For example, I know that silver tarnishes faster in areas people smoke or burn wood or coal. It may be the same for brass. Humidity...

I've had no problems with 45ACP and LSWC. I think issues are generally due to design of specific models and workmanship of individual firearms.
I use Titegroup. Load data is very similar to Bullseye, usually within .1gr, burns cleaner, meters well and most important; produces accurate loads and it's available to me where Bullseye generally...
+1. A possible variation of ~.4 gr can be a lot for fast powders like Titegroup.
Also, a set of check weights is indispensable for monitoring a scale's accuracy.

My compact bench bought from Cabela's on sale and finally set up. It fits the bill for me because I did not have much space available. At least my wife is happy that I've moved reloading out of the...

I've tried to rationalize getting a vibrating primer loader, but they don't seem right for me. Since I only load a couple hundred rounds in a sitting, and it takes me just over a minute to pickup a...
I think the problem can happen with non indexing progressives. On my Dillon SDB, the indexing engages just before the powder drops. You'd have to remove the case from the third station and put it...

Mine is 36"
I reload sitting on a bar stool. How high is your current setup and what changes would suit you?
I've taken .452 bullets and squeezed them in a vise to bring them to ~.455/.460 for slugging. Same could probably be done for sized round balls.

I'm pretty sure that to make the switch efficiently from 38/357 only a tool head plus appropriate seat stem is needed. The dies just slide in under the toolhead.
I don't switch back and forth...
FWIW, I have the Impacts and the recovery time is insufficient for me to hear the bullet impact. I don't know about the other brands.
I have the 3 gun version of the Champion's Choice Strong gun box. I suggest the OP also buy the magnet for it as well to hold magazines ready while shooting. It keeps everything neat and organized...

I agree that sturdier and more custom can be built for a bit less. But this seemed to fit the bill for someone without the time or inclination to build something from scratch, small space, has one...

Cabelas has their Stack-On reloading bench on sale with free regular shipping. You still have to pay for the oversize shipping charge though.
