I'll never get rid of my first handgun, a SW1911. Probably has 15k rounds through it by now.

I think those were sold at Wally World a decade ago or so. I have some of the 9mm and 308 lying around somewhere. It was pretty cheap and worked ok.

If anyone's appetite for CDs is big enough I have a few thousand AOL cds from back in the day. Yours if interested.
Forum: Casting Equipment
When I start casting with a cold(ish) 6 cavity mold I only use the first 2 cavities at first. As it heats up in a few pours use another, then another after a few more. This keeps the pressure on the...

What CastingFool posted above is pretty much what I use in everything from 380 Auto and 38 Special on up to full pressure .357 Magnum and 30-06 at 2000fps (though the rifle boolits are gas checked)....

They get mighty angry when you keep them on the line for a few minutes then reveal you don't own microsoft products and you've enjoyed wasting their time. :bigsmyl2:

Use whatever it takes to clean it up. The first couple times I use any new cast iron a little soap and a scrubbuing always seems required even after a couple seasonings. Sometimes if there's...

Forum: Reloading Equipment
The only trouble I've run in to reloading .380 is needing to expand the case in two steps. First with an NOE, then with a Hornady. This is mostly because the pistols in question needed .358" bullets.
A 5 grain charge of green dot below a 200 grain swc has become a favorite of mine.

Humidity it seemed gave me the most trouble. I put a pan on top of the toaster oven to warm the bullets up before they get coated. They stay up there while the previous batch is baking. They get...

I'm with vzerone. I'd rather start with an 8mm mold and sizing down the 5-6 thousands than beagle a .312" out fatter. That is, if buying a proper mold is out of the question.

To be fair, the Lebel has the same straight short stubby bolt and 90 degree throw. Not that you couldn't pound either of them open should they get frozen shut.

Since it looks like the markings have been ground off and engraved over, you could take the stock off and under the tang will be a date of manufacture and arsenal mark. Assuming you were curious to...

If the computer has an sd card slot (and it isnt broken) you could bring up the command line and mount it manually.
.380 was the first center fire cartridge I ever fired. It's still just as fun today as when I was a boy. Out of dumb curiosity, what's the groove measure on that 238? I never measured mine when I had...

I don't think I pan lubed more than 100 cast bullets before I bought my LAM2. Worth every penny.

I have two of them myself, I kinda like them. My two favorite pocket knives are the spyderco delica and benchmade mini griptilian. I really don't like the thumb studs on most knives so narrows things...

I've always been a fan of taking them apart for the neodymium magnets inside. From there you can abuse the platters any way you like. Everything from a hammer to thermite works really well.

I went with the 358-125RF. It seemed like a fair compromise between two and four legged targets. Assuming of course that you were unwilling to keep two kinds of ammo for two kinds of problems.

I used to load a lee 358-158rf atop 16 grains of win296. Still fun to shoot in something big like a gp100, nearly too much in the smaller sp101.
