Hello Everyone,
I have some Accurate #3100 reloading powder that I originally bought for 45-70. The cartridges that I am shooting most these days with cast bullets are 38-55, 8mm Mauser and some ...

I shoot several trapdoors and a Sharps rifle which all require bullets at .462 diameter. Your best bet is to choose a bullet design that you like and order a mold from Accurate Molds for the specific...

I had problems keeping the mold temp up, especially with alum molds, and bought a hot plate. I put a 1/8" steel plate over the coils and set it at a medium setting. Setting the mold on the plate...
Thanks Dragonheart, peroxide and vinegar is something I have not yet tried. To address some of the comments made above, I normally cast at 850 degrees, which is where I usually get consistently good...
Thanks everyone for your comments. The bullets look good superficially, with excellent bases, but the bands consistently fail to fill out. I have tried smoking the cavities, scrubbing with hot water...
I have an aluminum bullet mold which will no longer cast good bullets, for some reason. I have cleaned it with boiling water, boiling water and Dawn for Dishes, acetone, denatured alcohol, isopropyl...

The "usual practice" as to who pays what closing costs can vary from state to state. I did not see your lawyers fees on your list, and I would not buy real estate without the help of an experienced...
Not sure how to get the photo inserted, but I do have a public album that has photos of the mold.

I found a double cavity lee mold in 38-55 which casts a bullet large enough for my Uberti High wall,(382). The problem is, one of teh cavities consistently produces a large lump at the sprue cutoff....

Hi Waksupi,
Thanks for the reply. I have not checked to see if the magazine would be a problem, will do that tomorrow. I did try to chamber a cartridge with that Ly 311284 bullet and it would not...

I recently purchased an Israeli mauser marked SWP 45. The bore is bright and shiny, but I have not been able to accurately measure the rifling twist. I am coming up with something in the neighborhood...
