A long time ago I bought some Horanaday case lube in a small tub. I let it sit for years on the window shelf. Not too long ago I needed some lube for my press rams & the bars that slide on my two...

I, too, had the same problem. It seems that the older (vintage) Lyman checks which are more of a brass color instead of copper are in fact thinner and won't "crimp" on. Hornaday should work fine.

I used to have the SBH in .44 mag. It was a fine shooter. But . . . it was a magnum. Shooting a lot of rounds in succession made for pain in my elbows. Several years ago I picked up RB in .45 Colt &...

I have corresponded with Charlie a number of times & I not only find him incredibly bright but also a man of the utmost conviction. He's a straight up guy.

As was previously mentioned, you said it right. It couldn't have been said any better.:Fire:

I've found that you can keep them a long time. I have what's left of 1000 small pistol primers that are 10 years old & they are fine. I've found myself at gun shows buying WW Lge. rifle primers that...
That is really good! Wow! I'm Impressed. Here is my Ruger in .45 Colt @ 15 yds. 36 rounds . . . and I DID use a rest! I'm not as steady as I used to be. Lyman 255 gr. SWCGC, 8.0 grs. Unique & CCI Lg....
You'd be surprised at how little even State Police know about guns, their components, ballistics & even the governing laws. Not all, but many law enforcement people have never hunted nor picked up a...

If you want to shoot jacketed, try Hornaday .312 dia. 150 SP. if your bore will allow. I shoot them with great success using 53 grs. H4831.

I sat at my desk one night with a sharp pocket knife in one hand & a Mosin stock in the other. I scraped all the finish off in no time . . . it's only thin varnish. I then sanded it well using a palm...

I don't trust electronics . . . at least not for handling explosives. I work with electronics and they do fail . . . & often. When I work with my "Mechanical" beam scales I don't have to worry about...

I'm not a gunsmith but I do know that screwdrivers used by "competant" gunsmiths are specialized & expensive. They are cut precisely to fit the screw slots so as not to cam out.
Obviously his were...

Now, now. I've bought a lot of stuff there & have gotten a lot of good deals. But I don't get caught up in a bidding war. Just have to know what an item is worth.

I have two Mosins. A 1942 & a 1939. The 1939 has a far nicer finish & had a very shiney bore upon purchase. The 1942 bore took a lot of cleaning but the bore is now shiney bright! I use Hornaday .312...

I'm with you Larry. My distance vision is razor sharp since cataract surgery. But the rear sight on my Mosin is too fuzzy. I have a scout setup on my 1942 Mosin and am getting ready to put my PU...
