If you're allowing the press ram to "cam over"....don't. Screw the FL die in further until the shell holder bumps solidly against the bottom of the die w/o the ram or press handle flexing as if...
I believe most Saeco molds, like RCBS moulds, were cut for use with linotype alloy. The alloy (RL + a tudge of lino) you're using apparently has a higher concentration of lead which makes it...

For a softer alloy add 2% tin to the COWWs. That will balance the antimony content with the tin and produce the sub metal SnSb which will stay in solution with the lead even during solidification. ...

The 303 is also very accurate in a Canadian Ross Mk X.

Also consider bullets with the COG (Center Of Gravity/mass) close to the COP (Center Of Pressure) will transition thru the sonic zone smoother.

While Don (dverna) makes a good point several good points about the use of air rifles and 22LRs in lieu of reloading "something cheap to shoot" in these days of high priced primers and powders and...

As mentioned, a 16-1 (lead to tin) alloy would be a very good use for the SOWWs and will give you excellent bullets for the 357/38 SPL cartridge whether for rifle or revolver.

Randy Bohannon is actually correct also. Winchester had a pile of 32-40 barrels along with the tooling to keep making more. The 32-40 M94s weren't selling well because of the advent of the 30-30. ...

I agree with fire lapping. I have done it to several milsurps with badly pitted barrels and it always improved accuracy with cast bullets
After fire lapping I us bullets of at last .001" over...

The correct use of either a Transducer, a strain gauge or the C.U.P. system requires the use of "reference ammunition" to get a correlation/correction factor. That factor is then used to...

If you are seating crimping at the same time that could be the cause of the bulge also. If so, try seating and crimping in two different steps.

Concur with the above data. Only thing different is I would use a 16-1 binary alloy. That GC'd Lee bullet should prove excellent in the Rossi rifle.

The idea that the 32 S&W cartridge (factory) give less pressure than factory 32 S&WL cartridges and are thus much safer to shoot in these old revolvers is a myth. Here are some actual pressure...

Try 3.2 to 4 gr of Bullseye under that 115 gr bullet. No wad or filler. I use NS'd fire formed cases with were formed from '06 cases with the flash holes drilled out with a #28 drill.
I have 3...

If that RCBS 45-320-FN-U bullet doesn't work out for you I suggest the Accurate 46-275R. It is a close copy of My Rapine 460250 bullets [they drop at 270 - 275 gr] and is excellent in...

RCBS moulds are designed around linotype alloy. Cast of linotype the bullets from your mould probably will drop close to 325. The higher lead content of your alloy is what makes the difference.

I didn't know any Winchester M94s were made with "microgroove barrels"? All I've ever seen, including the M94 44 magnum have standard lands and grooves.
If the barrel has the older 38" twist...

Years Back I shot quite a few 319 gr cast bullets I got unsized/lubed from Liberty out of Oregon (long out of business) over 15 gr of Unique out of my TD. Unsized they ran 461 and shot fairly well. ...
Excellent video demonstrating the FRP. Note the muzzle flash with the first round and louder report. Second report is noticeably less with no FRP, and the report is then consistent after round 3.
