10.5 gr 2400 and the 309-120r work for me.

Try the 311284 with 40 - 50 gr 4831. At 40gr mine start to keyhole at about 400yds. to 50gr is a pretty stout load but will maintain accuracy futher if your alloy can hold up to the velocity. I have...

Looks good but 11.5gr 2400 will give you about 1750fps which may be too fast for the PB. If you get a wide group you could try 10.5 which will be about 1600fps. My carb opens up groups with PB any...

The lee 148 wc in front of 3gr of bullseye is what many target pistol shooters use.

Haven't heard many comment on bullseye. Have a friend who uses it exclusively for his 45 but don't remember his load. Anyone else prefer bullseye?

My regular mix is WW plus 1% tin and a 50/50 alox lube. Is this a good mix for the 45?

I haven't loaded 45ACP in many years and I seem to remember using 7gr unique with the 452374 230grRN. When I checked the load manuals lyman shows 5.3 start and 7.3 max but Lee shows 5.0 start and...

I had the same feed problems with the soupcan in my m1 until I started polishing the front of the loaded round with steel wool. I hold a piece of fine steel wool and turn the loaded round into it...

The 311397 or the 311414 are designed for short neck cases. I have a 311414 and found it to be a good shooter with 20gr 2400.

Had a GC come off and put a 30cal hole in a plexiglass storm window off to the side of my line of fire.

To answer your original question try 10.5gr 2400 at 1600 fps. Any faster with PB's will open up groups and any less will not cycle all M1 actions.

May be a little too light but you never know til you try it.

If I only gave someone $50 for all that I couldn't sleep at night. I'd stay up all night casting.

Lee lists loads as low as 22gr h4895 180gr vel 1770. I wouldn't use any filler with these loads.

There may be a difference in the burn rate of the older Herc 2400 and the new stuff.

I use this boolit in my 380 sized to 358 with 2.4gr BE or RedDot. I use the FL die backed off to just remove the bell and give a taper crimp. Works very good.

I had one of these and sold it because I could never get a decent group from my 38spl colt Police Positive 3.5" brl. I tried lots of diffrent loads but never found one that would work.

Have had good results with my springfield 30-06 with 2 grove and 311284 sized .311 and 40gr 4831.

I always crimp just enough to remove the mouth bell. A roll crimp could cause excessive headspace. I've known people who used a roll crimp on a 45APC and didn't seem to have any problem but it isn't...

Loading some 9MM 356402 and have been seating them so the top band is almost completly covered, flush with the case mouth. I felt that the sharp edge of the top band might catch on the chamber and...

I use it with 3.6 BE and 4.2 Unique for light loads. They seem to work well but I have gone to the 356402 121gr with 4gr BE. It seems to preform better. Just MHO.

I loaded some for a friend many years ago and ifnI remember right I used 3gr of unique. I would start with 2gr BE and work up. The 150gr swc should work fine. Might slug the bore as some 38SW have a...
