His wife posted that he was sick. JonB tried to get hold of him/or his wife with no reply. Last I heard Texas grunt was going into the hospital and was worried about his bird.

I have now cast with this mold. I think it must have been essentially unused as it took some breaking in; imagine an eighty or so year old mold in such a condition! Pretty soon it started giving me very nice and sharp bullets of the original Keith type. I think this mold is going to be a favorite.
For the princely sum of $AU20 I bought a brass mould marked 458.260 from the local bargin bin. Casts up a 0.459 light weight boolit for my 45/70. I'm going to use it for shooting "Pat Garrett" matches in my 1886 lever.

Good grab on that LWT!!!

It's a 420gn Hensley & Gibbs boolit that casts at 0.460". A perfect match to my 1886 lever gun. Very consistant grouping at 100yds with issued sights!

Noe ranch dog 357 178 grn mold
I picked up a July 4 deal on a Lee 358-125-RF and some spare handles. Hope to use it to feed a 357 Sig and perhaps a friend's 9 Luger.
Picked up a Lyman 358627 from a member here... Only got a few made... They seem to drop small, but the cavities also seem to have crud in them that I should have cleaned out. Kinda looks like a baked graphite. Will clean it up and test again.

I like this bullet and cast quite a few of them. Lil heavy for the magnum but dandy in the Maxi and the 35 Remington too!
Not sure what mine drop at... I powder coat too then uaually side to 360 and 359 for the 35 rem. (Wont fit @ 360.)
Good luck with it!

31-142D from Tom. Cleaned it up, cast a few. Came in just as spec'd weight and dia. It has vent lines on the mould TOP too. Noses still a bit wrinkled but base is great! Hornady GC snap right on, shank was cut 2 thou. smaller. Toothbrush time. I was excited and in a hurry.
Attachment 245975Just maybe my all time FAVORITE bullet!!
Time will tell cause I have barely loaded a fewdummies and have t sent a single one down range...
But a NOE 360/232 Ranch Dog mold I bought from a excellent member here!

NEI 454 230 gr RNFP hollow base, double cavity for a herd of 45 colt revolvers.
USPS delivered a decent Lyman 313249 to me yesterday. Hope I get to try it out this weekend. Double cavity 85 grain round nose that should drop around .314. Will try it in the 32 H&R and 32 ACP. In the ACP the 311252 is really a little short when seated deep enough to fit my chamber properly.
RCBS 7mm X 168 gr., GC. Rifle is still at the doctor having some elective surgery done so I have no idea how it will like it.
I put a master caster on order, with a 122gr tc 9mm mold. And to fill in the time I ordered an 8cav 130gr rn bb from mihec.
Can't wait for the goodies to show up !
Buffalo Arms .444" 530 ELLIPTICAL GRAIN PAPER PATCH BULLET MOLD 1-CAVITY FLAT BASE
I've had this one on order for about 3 weeks and I hope it arrives soon. It will be my first PP mold for the 45 cal. Considered a Brooks PP mold but figured I'd try a BA mold first and see how this rifle liked PP bullets before going with a Brooks. Heck, they both make fine molds!
