I load 55 Gr FMJ BT with 25 grains of WC844. My lot loads to H335 data.
H335 has been my mainstay "go to" powder for the .223/5.56 cartridge with 52 - 55 gr bullets for many, many years. I use 26.5 gr which duplicates 5.56 M193 pressures and ballistics. With 55 gr FMJBTs it duplicates M193 (US made). With 52 gr HPs or 55 gr BTs in 9 - 12" twist gas guns it's a load that's very difficult to beat. With 55 gr Hornady SX in 12" twist bolt guns I've killed many a critter over the years.
Among the best of the handloading writers, the late Bob Hagel mentioned in at least one of his books that H335 was his favorite .223 powder. A lot of new powders have come out since then, but I'll bet H335 still works well, at least for the lighter .223 bullets that were popular during Hagel's time.
