RCBS tumbler
This is for anyone having problems with their RCBS tumbler motors. I was having problems with mine and came to find out that the motors in cheap fans and humidifiers are very similar. First just tried to replace motor but that didn't work. Wasnt enough power in the motor. When I took my old motor out I found the housing for the fan shaft was broke. Took it apart and replaced it with the housing from the fan I scraped. Works like a charm now. I have 3-4 of those motors and although they are all a bit different they all seem to be same shape, size, and mount the same. Here's a pic of the motors and housing. Not sure if Lyman and others have the same motor but it wouldn't hurt to check.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...98d9c420c5.jpg

Hm. I've got a Lyman tumbler with a dead motor so maybe I will have to try this.

The housing piece on the bottom of pic was broken on mine. Hence not allowing the motor to turn.

And if you do not have fans or other devices with similar motors you might be able to find them here

That's a good tip about the humidifier motor!
My rcbs vibratory cleaner was more than 5 years outside of warranty when the motor started slowing down. I called them to inquire about purchasing a replacement motor. I told them that I knew that it was well beyond warranty, and that the machine had given good service.
In true RCBS fashion, they shipped one to me free of charge. Pretty easy retrofit.
I wish that more companies stood by their products in this same way!

I am a big fan of RCBS but for the price of those they can afford to send a customer a motor now and then!
