I have a drilling. 16 x 16 x 9.3x72R. Due to groove size I am going to be loading Paper patched, 200 grain .358 cast boolits.
Anyone able to point me at some good starting loads. Drilling is Nitro Proofed but I am shooting lead.
Thanks,

What powder do you have?

IMR 4166 but I am flexible.
It looks like a full case of AA3100 or Reloader 23 would be well within pressure limits and still give a good burn. That wouldn't be a bad place to start with a PP boolit. That will give you full ballistics, about 2300 fps with a 200gr. boolit. IMR 7828 would also work, but will be a couple hundred FPS slower. All of these will be at 25K PSI or lower.

Thanks. I'll see which powder I can get locally. Probably Reloader 23 if my memory is any good.
I hope to do the same basic load for my Ruger 9.3x74 using the RCBS 200gr. Duplicate the 35 rem. Should be a great Blacktail load. Good luck with your drilling.
I'd be using hte powder I have on hand. That's 4350 class, and WC872. Neither would be perfect, but both would do the job. I would start with the 872 as that would be more appropriate for a gentle reduced load. However, the 4350 powder at 70% casefill (VERY approximate here) would likely get me full power too.
Second though, cast lead, I'd be using 872. id wait to try 4350 on jacketed.
I have a 9.3x74r and use a load listed by Chuck Hawks (reduced recoil). I can shoot that all day. I got a 9.3 mold (Gas check) from one of the group buys and it shoots great. Brass and commercial Bullets are not cheap, good gas checks are hard to find so I tried paper patch. They shoot very well. In fact I have not shot anything else since I started shooting those.
