I gave up on finding custom size lube dies, at a reasonable price. I buy one close, and lap it or ream it out now. I'm tempted to go back to school just to use the machine shop. Lol

Doesn't take le much work at all to lap one out to .432 if using a Lee sizing die. The old sandpaper/emery cloth around a split dowel trick is what's needed
He said that he was using a RCBS/Lyman machine and although a little harder, they can be made bigger if you go slowly.
I haven't bought a die yet but did finally see that buffalo arms has one. I'm not anywhere close to being a machinest. I do have a .429 I could try the dowel trick on though. Curious how to measure if correct size
I have had Erik Ohlen at www.hollowpointmold.com hone size dies for me, also DougGuy who is on this forum.
i got rid of my pin gauge set after retiring. so i just went slow and checked sized bullets until they were right. it was a lee 8mm needed .325. but you can do the same on rcbs or lyman. i used wet dry paper and a Dowell with a little oil.
If your alloy is soft you want your die the exact size. If your alloy is hard you want the die at least .0005" smaller than your finished bullet due to springback after the bullet leaves the die. You can lap the .029" die or a larger one with a strip of 600 wet or dry in a split dowel. Just lap the upper part as far down as the bullet goes and leave the very bottom alone so lube doesn't leak past that .429" pin in a .432" hole
You can buy individual pin gauges. I bought a set on sale.
Buffalo Arms offers custom sizer dies https://www.buffaloarms.com/432-cust...isizers-bac432 , I have purchased several from them.

Needing to open one up myself, just how much underside can the pin be without leaking too much? I thought I would need to make a new pin for .429 to .431ish. Seems it would be tapered if only open part way thru, how do you control taper with split Dowell method?
Won’t Lathesmith on the forum make whatever size you want?
If you don't have a set of pin gauges a small hole gauge will work.
I bought one from Buffalo Arms as per the link above in barkerwc's post.
The boolits came out at .4315 so i used a .433 flex hone to open it out slightly to .432 and it works fine.
I ordered one from Buckshot several years age. Price was right and spot on .432. Very satisfied with it. Use it in a 450
Sadly, Buckshot has retired from doing custom machine work.
S&S Firearms makes custom H&I dies.Price is $38.00.They may have it is stock.
I bought a .4345 lube and size die for my Lyman 450 from Lathesmith a couple of years ago to lube boolits for my Marlin 44 mag lever action.I then size with a Lee push thru at .433.
Contacted S and S. They have one in stock. Thanks everyone for help.
