Joni - what kind of grafting process did you use to mate the action to the walnut tree and how long did it take to grow around the action. Nice inletting!
Thank you. I've only inletted a few of these, this one is one my my better attempts.
At the time I had my father to give me guidance on what to do or not do. It was a long slow process but in the end had it's reward. The inletting was done to match the contours of the action. The wood work done by Ric is awesome and this gun has a lively feel to it that just isn't there with most other rifles.

One of the things I really enjoy is finding that "beater" .22 bolt action at the gunshow and making something of it.
That always employs stock work so I am always studying how other folks do theirs. I'm keeping this!
