Hats off to Lathesmith! Thank you Chris for the prompt service and fair pricing for such a high quality Star punch!
Chris, please let me know what the cost of 2 punch nuts with shipping. Thanks
Chris, could you make an adaptor that allows the use of Lyman/RCBS nose punches for use in a Star?
I realize one would then be sizing base first, but that is desirable at times.
Chris is everything OK? I need to order some punch nuts.
The best way to get a response from Chris is to send him a PM
PMed yesterday and within a few hours had a response even on a Sunday. Looking forward to trying these out when they arrive.
Dies received on good order today. Thank you.
Just received a die removal tool (plus other other stuff as well). Here is a pic of the die removal tool. Also included a punch to eject the last bullet. Very nice, don'tcha think? Seems like a bargain for $22 to me.

I got one of them for my brother and myself. It works great. Chris does some great work.
I am happy with my two new dies and 3 punches plus the tool too. The workmanship appears superb.
Howdy Lathesmith I'm new here to the forum I'm thinking about purchasing a new star lubrisizer. Would it be possible to get your contact information in regards to ordering new dies and other parts. Thanks Buckey
Hi Buckey,
Yes! I'll send you a Private message and also an email, and send along the contact info that you need. It's easiest to use a Private message here on the forum, and email also (usually) works as well.
Welcome to the forums! It's a great place to learn about all aspects of casting and shooting, as well as picking up the finer points on operating the Star.
Regards,
lathesmith

Attachment 214432 dies came today .. thx
309 is deadnuts also .. I know where any extra funds will be going for awhile (:
Lathesmith, what tolerance do you work to on your size die diameter?
John, dies are typically sized .0008 or so under specified size, in order to allow for the varying final sizes of different alloys.

[smilie=s: Hi Chris. Was just wondering about something. On plugging the lube holes for the right alighnment of lube groves.Could the lube holes be threaded for set screws like are used for the stop rings.Seems like it would be a bit easier to change for a different boolit. They could be drilled and tapped to bottom out about .003 below the surface of the die for clearance.I know that the cost would be more because of the additional work. Thanks for your time to answer.
Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.
