Sorry to hear that. I met him at several of our AZ shooting get-togethers in past years.
He will be missed! RIP.
I haven't been on the site for a while, and was browsing craigslist this afternoon, I saw some of his thing for sale with widow in the description and came to see, this is very sad news. Matt has been very kind to me and my wife in our young years and will be missed. My only regret is that while he offered much more knowledge to me I never made the time to accept it. God bless you Matt and watch over Linda as she continues her journey.
Rest in peace
No way!! I got to know Matt and we talked on the phone and he did 221FB brass conversion for me and I made a die for him than I got his email and we were exchanging emails pretty much on daily basis, his last email to me was Sep 14th and he passed away 3 days later and I wasn't even aware until now! I was busy machining and didn't think much when communications stop, it's not unusual for people to get tired of my long writing. It wasn't until now when I was looking under vendor section for the first time I saw this post. How sad
GOD bless...........
dimaprok, you and me both. I was searching around on the forum and I noticed that under GUMPA name there was a "In Rememberance" and didn't know what it meant. I just did a search for his name and came across this post. Even though I would get on the board a lot I had never known that he was gone. He was one of the first people that i got to know when I first joined this board, we communicated all the time. He taught me so much when I got back in the hobby, he would send me pics of his house out there in the boondocks and he would tell me how he set it all up. I even bought brass and stuff from him at times. As time went on we kind of lost touch, life gets in the way.
I know we all have to go but I am beginning to see a lot of it happen recently. This is just horrible news as I knew this guy pretty well.
God bless and RIP.
Sad to hear this, RIP Grumpa.
Losing Matt is a huge loss for all of us. Rest In Peace.
He was a kind and knowledgeable gentleman that will be remembered by many for a long time.
I am just reading this, RIP Matt, a good guy
