I need to remove paint from some Remington 700 BDL stocks. I assume it is Krylon or similar. Is the anything that will remove the paint without destroying the glossy finish on the stock?

RKW is tough. I'd try paint stripper in the barrel channel or bolt handle slot and see what happens.
If it does cut the finish then you'll have to steel wool it off. Then wax or oil the stock to regain the sheen. Dang it a person isn't supposed to paint a WOOD stock!
.
The RKW finish is an epoxy that's not effected by "normal" paint strippers, with RKW usually requiring a special stripper like Citristrip.
I've had good luck removing paint splatter with Formby's Furniture Restorer (HomeCheapo & hardware stores), but have never tried it on a fully-painted gunstock.
It's used with new pads of 0000 steel wool, following the directions on the can.

Thank you both.
I had acetone on hand and tried it. Works just fine and did not harm the finish on the stock.
I wondered about acetone. Now I know.
