Are the bolt parts matching and original?
Make sure they bolt shroud is screwed all the way in. This is normally done with the safety in the up position at 12 o'clock. The 96 safety works left- fire, center- safe/takedown, and right- safe/locked bolt or uncocked and locked.

Inspect the cocking piece too. Burrs and wear will cause issues.

The easiest way to deal with this is to find a youtube video on disassembly and reassembly. Take it apart, check the parts for matching numbers, then reassemble.Quote:
