Good Score? Lots of ammo
Got talking with my local gun shop guy. Great shop, hole in the wall type place. Asked if he had anything odd ball stuff lying around didn't want. Got whats below.....

Most of it is just dusty from sitting for years. There is some stuff that will get broken down to remelt, scrap the brass. The 55 Boys round was neat along with the m60 belt. Mostly 12 gauge, some 20, lots of 16, and a bag of 410. Bunch of old 22 in original boxes, found commercial 06, 308, some 270, 357 mag, all sorts of stuff. This is what people bring him in to "take care of" because the police department won't take it. Also bought a older, unused NEA 12 gauge for $100 out the door.

Nice score. I'll be your buddy if you find any 32 long colt in there [smilie=l:
-
closet so far is just 45 colt so far, some 25 auto stuff too.
-
That is pretty neat. 357magnum or 38 special with large primer pockets would be real neat to come across. I have a few 38s, dont got no 357s in my collection yet.

Hopefully the .22 ammo has not oxidized. I bought some older Eley .22 match ammo, thinking I was getting a great deal, then at home I saw the bullets had oxidized. There are many internet solutions to the oxidation problem of older .22 lead bullets, but there are no fast or easy remedies.

Most of the 22 is in really good shape, few that have oxidized in different batches, probably 1000+ good rounds.
-
Nice score! As a rookie collector I'm fairly drooling over that picture!

My sister worked for the local Fire Department showed up one day with an old ammo can full of inblock M1A1 clips with 06 fmjs TW 5 4 head stamps.

Nice score. Congratulations.

Nice score. It’s got mine beat. I was given a foot locker full of ammo and components. The find was ten boxes of WW2 38 Special Tracer ammo. To bad I don’t have any place to shoot it. And no one wants to pay what it’s worth, or remotely close to it.

Looks like Santa came early this year. I would be like Midas with that stuff. Sit in my room and greedily rummage through it day after day.
