Been a nasty winter for us as well...but we'll do our best

Today's high 68 deg F. Got the truck running should have gone shooting. Going to rain mixed w/snow tomorrow.
Pictures of a range but no gun porn - no proof !
I think -22F is my record for a range trip. Competed in a Shoot to Retrieve competition at a shooting preserve once when it was that cold and near 2 feet of fresh snow on the ground. We won the tourney, got our 4 birds in 8 minutes as I remember. Had Black Lab female that was one of the best pheasant dogs I've ever seen, certainly the best I'll ever own. Man I miss her.

-16F out there. NOT shooting outdoors. Too old, too chicken. But there's this new boolit/load I could try in the basement??
Attachment 211715Attachment 211716 I took these photos at our club military rifle shoot in February, 2004. As you see the temperature was a balmy -30. We were tough back then.
Went to the tail water pond this morning for a bit of duck hunting.
Pond was frozen solid, went back home and reloaded 12 gauge ammo
and vacuumed the house :)

Only a true gun nut would be shooting in these temps. :D
It's 11 degrees here, with a wind chill of -1. Did a little welding this morning and my mustache froze...
Might shoot some 38 special later.
Well now , aren't you special !
Once in a different life, a friend of mine went floating the Little Sioux River on Pheasant opening day. The temp was hovering about freezing and a combo of sleet, ice, and rain was falling. We got some ducks and hypothermia by the time we made it to the pull out point. It was too cold and wet for the way we were dressed. Had fun no the less.

I finally got it after looking at the bottom picture by OP, South Pole!
